I have always felt that skill deserves rewards. However, there are only so many one-shot kills battle moderators can give you, and there are only so many times you can swindle a man out of his belongings. So, I've decided that you can earn powers/perks/abilities/weapons through brilliant posts and QUESTS. Here's how this works:
1. If you are in combat against a high-skill monster, that monster may or may not have a magical weapon or item with them. If you are able to defeat it, the monster may or may not drop an item.
2. Quests are how you will recieve most of this. There are two types of quests. The first type are ADMIN-DISTRIBUTED QUESTS. Every so often I will set up sub-plots, which will be open to a certain number of people. Once the maximum number of people have joined, then it will start. Upon completion of the quest, you will find a book/magic well/chest/etc. that will give you a pre-determined power/ability/perk/weapon. If you defeated a high number of goblins, then your perk might be that you can now kill goblins with more ease. If you were forced to take a stealthy approach, you might find a scroll that grants you an invisibility spell or something.
3. MEMBER QUESTS are quests that you, the member, start. an admin will determine what you recieve for this, dependant on the quality of your post. If your post is 1 paragraph long and at the end you find a magical scroll, it might be booby-trapped and you are attacked by monsters. Keep that in mind when attempting MEMBER QUESTS.
