there was a time, I found my way to another world. It just along the shore, up on the rocks and into the smallest looking of caves. Just inside is a community of roots, burrowing deeply around the stone and into fresh soil only a bit away. This is the path that leads to their world- our only known connection to a strange place. You can tell when you are coming through as the smell of pine and sweet flowers come onto your breath. They call it California.
